We are excited to announce the recipient of the 2020 Jone Bowman Customer Service Award is Brandon Hildebrand. Brandon began his career with D.M. Bowman in May of 2016. Since joining our team, he has been in several roles including: afterhours, linehaul, and is currently planning and providing customer service for our PC 02 Operation. During the nomination process of the Jone Bowman Award, Brandon received several customer nominations.
One customer wrote – “Brandon is an excellent communicator and his best attribute is problem solving.” It was also stated: “Brandon is a joy to work with, please continue to have him help with this business, he has set an extremely high bar.”
Another customer wrote: “Brandon displays an elusive “can do” attitude that is lacking in most carrier personnel these days. At the end of the day he gets the results (Customer) is looking for. He’s one of the best carrier people I’ve encountered in 30 years of doing this job.”
With customer feedback like that, it is very apparent that Brandon is more than deserving of this service award!

Last week, we had the privilege of presenting a check for $25,153 to Platoon 22 from our #MilesForVeterans Initiative. We are excited to partner with this organization and to see all the ways they continue to provide support for the veterans of our community. We would like to extend our congratulations to the 2020 Driver and Trainer of the Year: Matt Henson (Trainer) and John Miller (Driver). Both of these men have continuously showed what it takes to “Carry Through” this past year and we greatly appreciate their efforts. Award Recipients are Top Environmental Performers and Leaders for Freight Supply Chain Efficiency
D.M. Bowman, Inc., was honored with a SmartWay® Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a true industry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency.

D.M. Bowman, Inc. was one of 58 truck and multimodal carriers to receive this distinction, representing the best environmental performers of SmartWay’s 3700 Partners. This year’s awards were announced at a virtual press event hosted by the EPA with its SmartWay Partners, key stakeholders and media in attendance.

D.M. Bowman Inc. has selected Platoon 22, a local nonprofit, to receive this donation. This organization plans to open a Veteran’s Center in Frederick, MD which will house necessary services under one roof including classes, counseling, benefits navigation, job training and placement, financial education and support in order to create a smooth transition for veterans into civilian life. With more than 370,000 veterans living in Maryland, this center will assist a large group of individuals to eliminate barriers that they face and give them assistance to reach their full potential.
